This is the bullet to run for all 1:10" twist 30 cal rifles, including those restricted by magazine length.  The typically higher muzzle velocity inherent with the Afterburner line coupled with a higher ballistic coefficient than most streamlined 180 gr projectiles, combine to allow this bullet to start fast and stay fast.  This is the original bullet the Afterburner line was founded on and a perfect blend of everything needed for a one-bullet-fits-all 30 cal scenario for North American or African plains game, both near and far.

As an example, a 30-06 running this bullet within acceptable pressure limits will shoot as fast as a 270 Win shooting a typical 130 gr boat tail bullet.  It will have a better ballistic coefficient for a flatter trajectory and less wind drift while hitting much harder at the business end, where the differences continue to grow as range increases.
