This bullet is optimized for a 1:11" twist or faster, and will fit comfortably in a standard length action for the 338 Win Mag or short action 338 Federal.  With a BC as high or higher than most 200 grain 30 cal bullets, this lets the 338 Win Mag's trajectory compete with a 300 RUM using long range 200 grain bullets, head to head, with the added benefit of the larger diameter .338 bullet for shock effect.  All that in a much more efficent, quieter, and shorter barreled rifle.  For those not particularly recoil shy, this quite honestly, is the best "one gun and done" scenario for all of North America and much of Africa.

Due to the light weight and low bearing friction allowing higher muzzle velocities, this equally makes the 338-06 realize long range performance it is not typically known for, and the massive hollow point ensures rapid expansion, even at lower velocities.
